Our subsidiary EcoCast Network produces audiobooks and interactive resources that teach children about the biodiversity of our planet through language, culture, and story.
Lil' Smart Bee initially began as an NSF funded program as part of the iDigBees.org project led by the Biodiversity Outreach Network. The goal was to develop bilingual resources aimed at teaching elementary aged children in Guatemala about native bee diversity. The project also resulted in a short animation production of the story captioned for bilingual learners.
The project was produced in partnership with FLAAR Mesoamerica, a nonprofit founded in Guatemala dedicated to field research and publications of biodiversity materials under President/director Nicholas Hellmuth. The organization is known for their cartoons and other resources which educate children about the biodiversity of Guatemala. Their animation team Mayantoons is a project and division of FLAAR Mesoamerica and who serve as a collaborating partner with Earth Teach/the EcoCast Network.
See below our recently released interactive audiobook which allows children to listen and read in both English and Spanish.
The animated version of Lil' Smart Bee available in English and Spanish co-produced by Mayantoons and Earth Teach Productions.

What? You can't go out into the daylight! The things I've heard would just curl your antennae!
